Dr. Jennifer Newman
Dr. Jennifer Newman grew up in North Texas near Fort Worth, where early on she developed her passion for all animals. In 2003, she and her family moved to New Braunfels, TX, where she attended Canyon High School. In 2008, she began studying Microbiology at Texas State University in San Marcos (go Bobcats!). During her three years at Texas State, Dr. Newman worked part-time as a veterinary technician assistant at the Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinics and gained early acceptance into Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine to pursue becoming a mixed-animal practitioner. She graduated in May 2015 and returned to New Braunfels where she joined the Chisholm Trail team again, this time as a doctor! In fall of 2018, Dr. Newman joined Animal Medical Center to expand the practice from two doctors to three.
When she isn’t helping pets at AMC, Dr. Newman likes to spend time outdoors kayaking the rivers and cooking new things at home. She also loves to garden with her mom and go fishing with her dad. She lives with her three-legged cat named Kitty.
Michael has worked and grown up with all sorts of animals, especially large animals. Michael was born and raised in the Elgin area, and LOVES the Texas outdoors! He has one baby at home, Ariel, a Pembroke corgi. He believes there is no greater joy than the connection that is created from the unconditional love from our four-legged companions. Michael is working towards obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.
